World Dance Fusion’s mission is to promote cultural awareness and understanding through dance. World Dance Fusion was first concepted in 1995 by Artistic Director Katy Alaniz Rous, as an explanation for her new dance practice.
Katy feels that all of her travels and interactions with people from different backgrounds in the United States and abroad have given her a unique perspective on the diversity and connection of the people on earth. An eternal student, Katy feels that her study of people, dance and cultures is never ending. The growing list of dance forms she has studied is diverse.
